How does the 60-day trial work?

Submit the trial request form and we'll email you an API key same day. The key gives you full access
to your chosen tier for 60 days. No credit card is collected during the trial. At the end of 60 days,
we'll follow up to discuss whether TradeFacts.io is working for your team.
Where does the data come from?

Directly from the USITC official REST API — the same authoritative source as the USITC website.
We do not scrape web pages. We normalize the data, enforce a stable schema, run change detection,
and serve it. The underlying data is US government public information.
How current is the data?

The dataset is refreshed nightly at 02:00 UTC. This means your application will see any changes
published by USITC within approximately 24 hours. For most trade compliance applications, nightly
refresh is sufficient — tariff schedule changes are announced with lead time, not applied mid-day.
What happens when USITC changes their format?

We absorb it. The TradeFacts.io schema is stable regardless of upstream changes at USITC.
When USITC's format shifts, we update the normalization layer and your integration keeps
working unchanged. We'll notify Tier 2 subscribers of any schema additions in advance.
Are there rate limits?

No hard rate limits are currently enforced. We ask that integrations are respectful of the API —
batch chapter retrieval during off-hours if you're syncing the full dataset. If your use case
requires very high-volume querying, contact us to discuss the right arrangement.
When is Canada Customs Tariff data available?

Canada support is on the roadmap and will be included in Tier 2 at no additional cost when available.
We're not publishing a date — we'll build it when US demand is validated and the quality bar is met.
Tier 2 subscribers will be the first to know.
