US data comes directly from the USITC official REST API — the same authoritative source as the USITC website. Canada data comes from the CBSA official release. We normalize both datasets, enforce a stable schema, run change detection, and serve them via a unified API.
The US dataset refreshes nightly at 02:00 UTC; Canada at 02:30 UTC. Your application will see any changes within approximately 24 hours.
We absorb it. The TradeFacts.io schema is stable regardless of upstream changes at USITC or CBSA. When their format shifts, we update our normalization layer and your integration keeps working unchanged. Tier 2 and Tier 3 subscribers receive advance notice of any schema additions.
No hard rate limits are currently enforced. We ask that integrations are respectful — batch chapter retrieval during off-hours if you’re syncing the full dataset.
We target 99.5% monthly uptime. The API is monitored continuously via UptimeRobot with checks every 5 minutes — both the domain and the API health endpoint. In the event of an incident, we notify affected subscribers by email. Custom SLA terms are available for enterprise plans — contact us to discuss.
The full 2026 Canadian Customs Tariff schedule sourced from CBSA — 22,461 records, all chapters. Includes MFN, General Tariff, and all 23 preferential rate columns including UST. Refreshes nightly at 02:30 UTC. Mexico TIGIE (8,183 records) also included — MFN import rates, export rates, and unit of measure for all fractions.
Webhooks are available on Tier 3 ($399/month) and Tier 4 ($499/month). When a change is detected in the US HTS, Canada Customs Tariff, or Mexico TIGIE during the nightly run, TradeFacts.io sends an HMAC-signed POST to your configured endpoint.
You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time through the subscriber portal. Enter the email address you used to subscribe and Stripe will send you a one-time login link — no password required. Cancellations take effect at the end of your current billing period. To upgrade mid-cycle, Stripe automatically prorates the difference so you only pay for what you use.
